Afternoon all. Here is my secret for Wednesday, I hope you like this one. I used an image from a lifestyle magazine to create this one - isn't it pretty? There is probably nothing better than receiving post and how lovely is it when you actually get a letter or a postcard that someone has taken the time to write by hand. Sometimes the number of virtual tools we have to communicate with other people can be overwhelming - facebook, myspace, texts, email, msn, bb messenger. I would much rather to go completely old school and write letters to everyone - it would stop you sending those shameful midnight texts or angry fb chat conversations. Don't you agree? enjoy!

The day the bins went out...
Why am I up at 9am? well, my parents have gone away on holiday (no invite for me) and as a result I have one very noisy cat and one mute cat waking me up every morning to get their breakfast. Don't panic, they are MY cats and not some bizarre cat intruders. There is no more terrifying wake up call that the piercing screech of a hungry cat, honestly. It does mean, however, that I am being very productive with my time. I have already secured myself a volunteering position, two placements in seperate schools, a job for summer and sent applied for courses. How is your week going? enjoy!

The day I wrote it...
This is my secret for Monday - I hope you like it. I created this secret by using an image taken from a lifestyle magazine. How was your weekend? Mine was pretty lazy - shopping, babysitting and sunbathing. The weather is insane here, I don't think England has seen weather like this for years and no one quite knows what to do with it (myself included). Enjoy!

The day we talked it over...
This is my secret for Sunday, don't you love the image? I cut this out from an article about an incredible exhibition of vintage clothing going on in a gallery in London in a few weeks time (I am definitely going). I'm not sure I have ever really expressed how much 1950s fashion inspires me. I don't really dress like that but I definitely would if I had the time or money to find myself some beautiful vintage clothes. What style inspires you? enjoy!
The day I picked you up...
Go and check out www.postsecret.blogspot.com for yourself today - this is my favourite secret from the selection. It can be hard sometimes to voice an opinion about the way someone else lives their life. I know I wouldn't want someone passing judgement on my actions or choices. With close friends or family it can be tough sometimes to hold your tongue and to know that keeping your mouth shut is better for everyone. This secret really represents that for me - just in the very fact that it has been sent to postsecret and not to the person it was intended for. Are there things you simply can't say to people? most of mine end up on here. I hope the weekend is going well, enjoy!

The day I went looking...
How is your weekend going so far? This morning I went looking for a navy cardigan to go with the dress I bought for my Uncle's wedding - no such luck. This afternoon we are having a BBQ and then I am going babysitting tonight. I created this secret by using some coloured pens and glue, what do you think? Enjoy!

The day I worked for charity...
This is my secret for Friday. I created this secret by using coloured pens and fabric glue. I make lists all the time, weighing up the pros and cons of a certain decision/situation etc. Most of the time the lists are formed in my head but occasionally when I have a big decision to make I will put pen the paper (or fingers to keyboard I suppose), can you relate? wish me luck with my shift tomorrow, enjoy!

The day I followed RTH...
This is my secret for today, I hope you like this one. I created it secret by using a variety of different pens and some more fabric glue (which works surprisingly well on paper). I have realised recently that I very rarely pair a lot of different colours together all in one secret - mine seem to be one controlled colour palette rather than an explosion of colour. If you know me then you know this is because I have weird issues with colours, letters and numbers - if you don't know me then just appreciate my attempt to mix it up a bit. I am doing my first shift in the charity shop tomorrow so I might post my secret for Friday a little bit later. For now though, enjoy!
The day we explored...
I had a wonderful time in Bristol but it is nice to be home with all my things around me, don't you find that when you go away for a few days? I created this secret by using an orange marker pen and some fabric glue. These colours look amazing together and I didn't even consider that when I was making it. Enjoy!

The day I went to Bristol...
This is my secret for Tuesday - I hope you like this one. I created this secret by using a purple pen and some silver coloured glue. Luckily I am going away today (to Bristol) which means I won't be able to post tomorrow but normal service will resume on Thursday. I am sure by then I will have plenty of exciting tales to tell you too. Enjoy!

The day I started looking...
This is my secret for Monday - I hope you like it. I created this secret by using some fabric glue and a green marker pen. I am going to Bristol on Tuesday to see a friend at University which should be really good fun. I definitely need to clear my head and there is no better way to do that than a long drive, a new city and good company. What are your plans for the week? enjoy!

The day I cooked for Anna...
This is my 300th secret - not too far off a year now! It is so nice to look back over all the secrets I have made and to remember what I was thinking and feeling at the time. This secret represents an important new transition in my life and therefore will always be important to me. It is particularly nice that it also happens to be the 300th. I don't have anything planned for number 300 but I thought I would tell you a little secret. Before I left Oxford I decided to make some secrets and deposit them in book stores, libraries and places that were important to me. It was such a nice farewell to a city that has treated me so well. I hope someone finds those secrets and can relate them to events in their own life. Thank you so much for following/reading/looking at my blog over the past however many months. It means a great deal to me that family, friends and strangers alike can get something from my little project. I hope you had a great weekend, enjoy!
The day I came back home...
These are just two of the many secret from www.postsecret.blogspot.com this week. The first secret appealed to me because I constantly go back over memories and invent them into something even greater than they were to begin with. It tends to make me sad because I can't have those moments back - however much of them is created by my imagination. The second secret is something that I didn't really realise was true until recently - and thank goodness I did. Leaving Oxford has been stressful and sad, but it is the right decision so I am glad I turned around when I did. Enjoy!

The day I went back to Oxford...
I am back off to Oxford today to see some people and collect the last of my furniture etc. It has been weird being away from Oxford for the past week but I have mostly been consumed with trying to get rid of my tonsilitis and sort things out. I have such bad luck with being ill - karma for all those years I never missed a day of school and never got sick. I created this secret by using black, silver, purple and white pens, exciting huh? Have a great weekend, enjoy!

The day I volunteered...
This is my secret for Friday - I hope you like it. I created this secret by using a variety of coloured pens. Today I decided I would go and volunteer at a local charity shop. Aside from it being great experience and a chance to do something for charity I think it will actually be really fun. I am starting next Friday so I will keep you updated on how it goes. I also sent a few letters out to try and get some work experience at a local school (you know I love kids right?). I really hope they get back to me with some kind of placement to fill my time. Hope you have a great Friday night, enjoy!
The day I stopped taking them...
I have decided to stop taking my antibiotics because I think they are making me sick - that or something else is. I spent most of the day trying to sort out as much stuff as I can now I am at home. I have chucked away a load of stuff that I no longer need/want. Have a great Friday (my secret to come later), enjoy!
The day I babysat...
The day I went to the doctor...
The day I called...
The day I chucked it away...
This is my secret for Sunday - sorry for the delay, I am being such a rubbish blogger at the moment. I created this secret by using purple and gold pens and this beautiful sepia toned pictured of the Gherkin in london (i've always thought it looks more like an easter egg). More secrets to come, enjoy!

The day I unpacked...
Here are my favourite secrets from http://www.postsecret.blogspot.com/ this week - let me know which is your favourite too. My mother is not overprotective and I think that has played a massive role in the person I am today. Although it can be wonderful to have protective parents I think by not being protective my parents have allowed me to make my own mistakes and become a stronger person because of that. The second secret reminds me a little of one of my own secrets: 'Turning into her could be a great thing'. The older I get the more I realise that becoming my mother is really something wonderful. Enjoy!

The day I left...

The day we posted...
This is my secret for Friday, I hope you like it. I created this AI by using a card I found reduced in a sweet little shop in Oxford and a brown fineliner. Today I am going to say goodbye to most of my friends in Oxford and prepare to go home. Packing is always rubbish but it has to be done - wish me luck. Enjoy!

The day I realised...
The day you responded...
This is my AI for yesterday, I hope you like it. I am trying to sort as much stuff out in Oxford before I have to leave. I created this secret by using a copper coloured marker and a white pen. I am rapidly running out of card to use to make my secrets - hopefully I have some reserves back at home. I hope your week is going okay so far...enjoy!
The day I went home...
Isn't this pattern beautiful? I found it reduced in a card shop and instantly fell in love with the colours. Like most people there are some messages on my phone which I can't bring myself to delete. I keep them and from time to time I read them to myself. It is nice to have something that can remind you of a different period in your life - whether good or bad. I hope you like this secret, enjoy!
The day I decided...
So there is something I should probably share with you. Over the past 4 months or so I have been struggling at Oxford - dealing with the work, stress, family stuff and a series of really unfortunate illnesses. Last week it all became a little bit too much and I decided that the best thing to do was to take some time away from Oxford with the possibility of returning next year to complete my course. By no means is this the ideal situation, but it is definitely the best thing for me at this moment. The time taken away from Oxford will hopefully give me some much needed perspective and a chance to get myself better. I am happy about my decision - this might change, but at the moment I feel good about the options I have and the things I am considering doing in the future. I hope you can understand that this has been a difficult thing to share with you and an even more difficult decision to make. The way in which I created this secret now seems fairly inconsequential but I wouldn't want to break tradition - I used a black marker, silver pen and some letters, enjoy!
The day before...

The day I considered...
This postsecret doesn't exactly express what has been happening in my life recently - I definitely HAVE left the house. I do to some extent agree with the sentiment of this secret though. The longer you leave something the harder it becomes to sort that thing out. Is this something you can relate to aswell? let me know which secret was your favourite from the selection at www.postsecret.blogspot.com this week. Enjoy!

The day I thought it over...
This is my secret for Saturday, I hope you like it. I created this secret by taking some pink sequin stars and cutting them up. I also used a pink fineliner and some white card. I have some weird desire to create order in my life and to organise every little detail. Is there something in your life that comes close to obsession? enjoy!
