The day we had a BBQ...

I have always really liked the idea of being a suicide hotline helper or someone who answers emergency calls. Part of it is probably the adrenaline that comes with helping someone live and part of it is probably down to being nosy. Either way I related to this secret instantly. Which of the selection at www.postsecret.blogspot.com is your favourite this week? enjoy!

The day I stayed up...

On Saturday I spent most of the day claiming back the many hours of lost sleep from this week. In the evening I went babysitting and came back at about 3am. What are you up to this weekend? Enjoy!

The day I didn't have dinner...

On Friday I babysat before and after school, like normal, as well as working in my charity shop in the morning. In the evening I went babysitting for someone else and didn't get home until about 2am. Needless to say I am really tired this weekend. I hope your weekend is going well, enjoy!

The day I finished at Emberhurst...

So Thursday was my last day at Emberhurst School. It was a really wonderful experience and has only confirmed to me that I really do want to go into teaching. The head teacher actually gave me a small amount of money for my time there - which was really lovely because I had asked them for a free work experience period. Enjoy!

The day I went to Roehampton...

On Wednesday I had an interview at Roehampton university for a primary education degree course. I really hope they offer my a place because it would be a really lovely place to study. Wish me luck, enjoy!

The day I went in anyway...

I have been so busy all week, working at school every day and then babysitting before and after. I won't be slowing down next week either - working in a new school and still looking after the kids before and after school. In fact, this coming Friday and I am looking after them before school, after school and all evening too. What have you been up to? Enjoy!

The day I had blood tests...

Doesn't this pattern mess with your eyes? On Monday I went to have some blood tests because, as you know, I have had a selection of horrible illnesses over the last few months. I really hope it either shows something that I can then be treated for or conclusively shows that I just have had really bad luck. I hope you are feeling better than I am, enjoy!

The day I didn't...

I am going to keep these posts really short because there are going to be a few in quick succession. I am sorry, again, for being so rubbish and not posting every day - I have been really, really busy. Enjoy!

The day I thought about shopping...

Happy Father's Day everyone, I hope you are doing something nice. These are my favourite secrets from www.postsecret.blogspot.com today. Go and check them out yourself and let me know which is your favourite. My secret to follow later, enjoy!

The day I babysat again...

I have been getting so much babysitting recently and basically every weekend is booked up now. Let me know what you have all be up to too, I would love to hear. Postsecret tomorrow, so look forward to that. Enjoy!

The day I went to Shrewsbury...

I haven't been back to Oxford in a while and unofrtunately now term has finished. I hope I have some time over summer to see all of my friends from University. I cretaed this secret by using some fabric and glitter glue - it seems to be my favourite technique at the moment, right? enjoy!

The day I felt worse...

I am just about getting over my summer cold now - but really it has been horrible and I have been coughing constantly. I created this secret by using a photo and me and my sister (I am on the right). Family really are very important to me - and particularly at the moment because I am living at home. They have really responded so well to me leaving University and it has made everything about a hundred times easier. Can you relate? enjoy!

The day I stayed later...

So, this is my secret for Wednesday. I created it by using some fabric and glitter glue. I have been trying to organise so much stuff at the moment and on Friday I went to go and meet the deputy head of Shrewsbury House (a local all boys prep school). I spoke to him about doing some work at his school which I this should be really good experience. So I am going to do two weeks straight after I finish at Emberhurst, the school I working with at the moment. What have you been up to? Enjoy!

The day I worked and worked and worked...

I think I should probably update you on what I've been doing too - because there must be a reason for being such a rubbish blogger lately. As you may have read recently I have been working at a local school for three weeks doing work experience. At the same time I have also been doing a lot of babysitting - sometimes picking the kids up before and after I spend all day at school working. I am totally exhausted but finding it really enjoyable. I hope the blog doesn't suffer too much because of it, enjoy!

The day I visited the doctor...

So as you know I have been constantly afflicted by a variety of different illnesses for about 5 months now. The latest have been tonsilitis and a horrible summer cold. I went to the doctor on Monday and they suggested I have some blood tests to see if I have some sort of immune dissorder. I don't think the tests will show anything (it is probably just bad luck) but hopefully the glandular screening they do might just show whether the tonsilitis I get twice a year is normal or not. Anyway, there are some exciting details about my health problems, enjoy!

The day I made it up...

I am finally catching up, this is my secret for Sunday - I hope you like it. This may seem like a little bit of a weird secret but for ages I have wanted a little pet pig. I reckon my cats would love a piglet to chase around the house - can you imagine anything cuter? Well, my mum says we can't have one so I guess that my dream of owning a pig will never be realised. Hope your week went well, enjoy!

The day they all made sense...

There were so many fantastic postsecrets from the selection today - go and check them out for yourself www.postsecret.blogspot.com. The first secret I chose resonated with me as something I feel about someone saying sorry to me and saying sorry to others. 'I'm sorry' really isn't enough a lot of the time, it can be thrown around with little sincerity when really actions speak louder than words. If you want to say sorry I think the best way to do it is to show someone that you truly are sorry. The second secret really made me smile - for some reason it reminds me of 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' when they steal masks from a toy shop. I think we would all love to find that one person you don't have to conform with. The third secret is something I have been considering lately, whether to forgive and forget? I am quite a forgiving person - I tend to want to put things behind me and just move on but at some point when someone continues to hurt you it is time to put yourself first - and what better gift really? The last secret is something I have felt for a long time about postsecret and now something I can relate to my own blog. I have felt for a long time that postsecret is like a community offering help to a group of people with a shared secret - because although the secrets are all different they are all secrets. This feeling has since been transfered to my own secret making, I have been able to give myself a much needed release and almost allow myself to let go of each of the secrets created. Sorry for the massively long post today, let me know which secret spoke to you. Enjoy!

The day we had a wedding...

On Saturday we drove to Kent for my Uncle's wedding. He married a really lovely woman called Sarah and now his two boys have two extra brothers, Jack and George. The weather was really nice and it was great seeing family I haven't seen for a while. I have been feeling a little bit under the weather unfortunately - I have a horrible cold that I think might be the onset of tonsilitis again, argh! I hope you had an equally good weekend, let me know what you got up to. Enjoy!

The day I worked with someone else...

This is my secret for Friday, I hope you like it. I created this secret by using some coloured and glitter glue and silver letter stickers. I love these colours together - I think they look really pretty. I worked in the charity shop again on Friday but unfortunately my usual partner had to go to the hospital. Anyway, it was still good fun. Enjoy!

The day after the mole...

Oh I am so tired! I have spent the morning looking after nursery children who are 2 years old and very hard work. This week has been really enjoyable and I hope the next two weeks of work experience at this school are just as good. I do genuinely feel so exhausted though, it really is hard work dealing with children. That said, I absolutely love it and I really think it could be something I would love to do as a job. I have the charity shop tomorrow morning which is always good fun and then my uncle's wedding this weekend. Basically it is going to be non-stop the next few weeks, but luckily tonight I just get to relax with one of my (best) friends. Enjoy!

The day I watched big brother...

I created this secret by using some coloured glue and sequin letters. I have to admit that I absolutely love big brother. I know it is one of those shows that is just filled with fame hungry people willing to do anything - but I have watched every single series and simply have to watched the last one too. It has massively gone downhill (I will admit that) but I think it has to be one of the defining tv programmes of the noughties. Is this a secret pleasure you share with me? I really hope someone else will be watching along with me. Have a great day tomorrow, enjoy!

The day I went to school...

Afternoon everyone. Here is my secret for today, I hope you like it. I created this secret by using little bits from a magazine and some gold letter stickers - I really love the colours in this one. I have been working at a local school this morning and have just popped back home for some lunch. The kids i am working with at the moment are all three years old and absolutely adorable. If it is possible for me to feel more broody it has definitely happened. Enjoy!

Monday 7 June 2010

The day I made them...

This is my secret for today, I hope you like it. I created this AI by using various coloured pens and sequin letters. I am looking after the kids tomorrow so I might post my Tuesday secret in a little bit otherwise I might not have the time. I hope your week is going well so far, enjoy!

The day it almost came in...

This is my secret for Sunday. I created this AI by using a silver pen and some sequin letters. I am starting my work experience at a local school tomorrow so I will be pretty busy all week. I spent most of today making secrets as I knew I would be busy and I've covered myself in fabric paint and glitter glue. Anyway now I have a selection for the rest of the week to keep me going. What are you up to this week? Enjoy!

Sunday 6 June 2010

The day I went bra shopping...

Afternoon everyone. This is my favourite postsecret from the selection this week, go and check them out at http://www.postsecret.blogspot.com/. I have wanted a tattoo for a really long time and I think the difficulty is finding something that is both meaningful and beautiful. Maybe one day I will pluck up the courage to get my own tattoo, but for the moment I am content to look at the amazing body art that other people have. Which secret was your favourite? enjoy!

The day I changed my mind...

Here is my secret for Saturday, I hope you like it. I created this one by using some fabric paint and sequin letters. The weekend seems to be going by so quickly, doesn't it? Postsecret tomorrow so look forward to that. Enjoy!

Saturday 5 June 2010

The day it didn't fit...

This is my secret for Friday, I hope you like it. I created this AI by using bits from a magazine and some gold letters. My secret for today is drying at the moment so I will post it a little bit later. Have a great weekend, enjoy!

Friday 4 June 2010

The day I helped...

Can you tell summer is here from the colours I am using? This sort of evolved as I made it but the colours completely represent the sunny weather we have been haivng. Everything is going really well at the moment. I have been quite busy and next week I start work experience at a local school which will be great. What have you been up to? enjoy!

The day they arrived...

Here is my secret for Wednesday. I am going babysitting tonight which will make for a really exciting Friday night. What are you up to tonight? Enjoy!

The day I remembered...

This is my secret for Tuesday, I hope you like this one. I created it by using some bits from a magazine and a fineliner. Enjoy!

The day you talked...

Sorry for being so rubbish recently. I can't promise I will get better at blogging every day but I will definitely try. I created this secret by using various coloured pens. Enjoy!

Tuesday 1 June 2010

The day we argued...

This is my favourite postsecret from the selection at www.postsecret.blogspot.com this week: go and check them out for yourself. It is nice to know that other people who seem so collected and know what they want actually feel the same way you do, that you're just winging it and somehow getting along okay. Which secret was your favourite? enjoy!

The day they came back...

This is my secret for Sunday - postsecret to follow. I created this secret by using some fabric glue and a biro. I will post the rest of the secrets later, enjoy!

The day we waited...

My parents went sailing last week so we had to make sure the house was clean on saturday before they came back. I created this secret by using some beautiful wrapping paper courtesy of my grandfather (for a birthday, but I'm sure it is christmas paper). Enjoy!

The day I made £100...

I did my second shift in the charity shop on Friday and it was actually really good fun. We took almost double the amount we usually would for a morning which is always good. I also found myself some things to buy - perfume and playing cards. I always keep playing cards in my handbag because when I take the kids out we usually end up playing cards together. I created this secret by using some fabric paint and silver sequins. Enjoy!

The day I forgot...

I have been quite rubbish recently posting my secrets. This is from last Thursday - I hope you like it. I created this secret by using some sequins and coloured pens. I've been so busy recently it has been hard to keep up with everything but hopefully I will be a little bit better at keeping on top of the blog. Enjoy!
